Description

Potsticker Salad is a vibrant and crunchy dish combining plant-based or shrimp potstickers with fresh Napa cabbage, shredded carrots, and smoky turkey bacon. Tossed in a tangy dressing made from soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger (all natural), this salad delivers a perfect balance of savory, sweet, and smoky flavors. Easy to prepare and versatile, it works well as a light lunch, side dish, or appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale

Potstickers

  • 12 potstickers (plant-based or shrimp)

Vegetables

  • 3 cups fresh Napa cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup sliced red bell pepper (julienned)
  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped

Protein

  • 4 slices smoked turkey bacon, cooked crisp and chopped

Nuts and Seeds

  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame seeds

Dressing

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce (natural)
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar (natural)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (natural)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil (natural)
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger (natural)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (natural)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Potstickers: Cook the potstickers according to package instructions by pan-frying or steaming. Let them cool slightly to maintain texture in the salad.
  2. Cook the Smoked Turkey Bacon: While potstickers are cooking, fry smoked turkey bacon until crisp. Chop into bite-sized pieces for even distribution.
  3. Chop and Prepare Vegetables: Thinly slice Napa cabbage, julienne carrots and red bell pepper, and finely chop green onions to create a colorful, crunchy base.
  4. Make the Dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, freshly grated ginger, and minced garlic for a balanced tangy dressing.
  5. Toss Salad Together: In a large bowl, combine cooled potstickers, chopped vegetables, and turkey bacon. Drizzle dressing over and toss gently to coat evenly.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle sliced almonds and toasted sesame seeds on top and serve immediately while fresh.

Notes

  • Use fresh vegetables for best texture and flavor.
  • Avoid overcooking potstickers to keep their perfect bite and avoid sogginess.
  • Toss the salad gently to keep potstickers intact and vegetables crisp.
  • Adjust sweetness and acidity of dressing to suit your taste.
  • Prepare dressing and chop vegetables ahead of time for faster assembly.
