Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: Warm the plant-based milk to about 110°F (43°C). Sprinkle active dry yeast and a pinch of sugar on top. Let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes until foamy. Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl combine all-purpose flour, sugar, salt, and fresh orange zest. Add melted unsalted butter (plant-based), orange juice, apple cider vinegar, and the yeast mixture. Knead until a smooth, elastic dough forms that springs back when poked. Cover with a clean towel and let rise in a warm spot for 1 to 1.5 hours or until doubled in size.
  2. Prepare the Filling: In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon (natural), and vegetarian Worcestershire sauce (natural). Set aside while the dough rises.
  3. Shape the Rolls: Once dough has doubled, punch down gently to release air. Roll out on a floured surface into a 12 by 16 inch rectangle. Evenly spread the filling over the dough, leaving a margin around edges. Roll dough tightly from the long side into a log. Cut into 12 equal slices and arrange cut-side up in a greased baking pan.
