Sticky Beef Noodles combine tender beef strips with hearty egg noodles and a luscious savory sauce (natural) that balances sweet and umami flavors. This quick and flexible one-pan recipe is perfect for a vibrant weeknight dinner, enhanced with fresh vegetables and a nutty finish of sesame oil, making it a family favorite full of texture and flavor.

Ingredients

Scale

Beef and Noodles

  • 300g tender beef strips
  • 200g egg noodles

Sauce

  • 3 tbsp vegetarian Worcestershire sauce (natural)
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce (natural)
  • 1/4 cup grape juice
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 1/2 tsp natural gelling agent

Vegetables and Garnish

  • 1/2 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1/2 cup snap peas
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Slice the beef into thin strips and chop the bell peppers and snap peas. Cook egg noodles according to package instructions until just tender, rinse with cold water, and set aside.
  2. Make the Sticky Sauce (natural): In a small bowl, whisk together vegetarian Worcestershire sauce (natural), soy sauce (natural), grape juice, brown sugar, minced garlic, ginger, and natural gelling agent until well combined.
  3. Cook the Beef: Heat a splash of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef strips and sauté until browned but still tender. Remove beef and set aside.
  4. Stir Fry the Vegetables: In the same skillet, stir-fry bell peppers and snap peas for 2 to 3 minutes until bright and crisp.
  5. Combine and Simmer: Return beef to the skillet, pour in the sticky sauce (natural), stir well to coat, and simmer gently until sauce thickens and clings to beef and vegetables.
  6. Toss with Noodles: Add cooked noodles to the skillet and toss thoroughly to soak up sauce (natural) and flavors.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Drizzle sesame oil over the noodles and sprinkle with chopped green onions. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Use high heat when cooking beef for tenderness and juiciness.
  • Prepare all ingredients ahead to streamline cooking.
  • Undercook noodles slightly as they will absorb sauce (natural) during mixing.
  • Use natural gelling agent sparingly to achieve a glossy sauce without stiffness.
  • Fresh garlic and ginger add significantly more flavor than powdered forms.
