Enjoy soft, fluffy Biscoff Cinnamon Rolls with a warm spiced filling of cinnamon and signature Biscoff spread, topped with a smooth, tangy plant-based cream cheese frosting. Perfect for any occasion, these rolls combine bakery-quality texture and flavors in an effortless, customizable recipe.

Ingredients

Scale

Dough

  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1 cup warm plant-based milk (about 110°F/43°C)
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 3 1/2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour blend
  • 1/4 cup plant-based butter, melted

Filling

  • 1/2 cup Biscoff spread
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • Optional: 1/4 cup finely chopped smoked turkey bacon or smoked turkey slices
  • Optional variations: 1/4 cup chopped toasted pecans or walnuts; 1/4 cup finely chopped dried apricots or apples; 1/2 tsp cardamom or nutmeg

Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 1/2 cup softened plant-based cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (natural)
  • 1/2 tsp natural gelling agent

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: Activate the yeast in warm plant-based milk with a pinch of granulated sugar until foamy. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, melted plant-based butter, remaining sugar, and yeast mixture. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until elastic and slightly sticky. Cover and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
  2. Roll Out and Add Filling: On a floured surface, roll the risen dough into a large rectangle. Spread an even layer of Biscoff spread across the dough. Sprinkle the cinnamon and optionally add smoked turkey bacon or smoked turkey slices, plus any additional desired variations.
  3. Shape the Rolls: Roll the dough lengthwise into a tight log. Slice into 1.5-inch thick rolls and arrange snugly in a greased baking dish. Cover and let rise until puffed up, about 30 minutes.
  4. Bake to Golden Perfection: Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Avoid opening the oven during the first 20 minutes.
  5. Make the Cream Cheese Frosting: While the rolls bake, whip together softened plant-based cream cheese, powdered sugar, natural vanilla extract, and natural gelling agent until smooth and creamy.
  6. Frost and Serve: After the rolls have cooled slightly, generously spread the cream cheese frosting over them while still warm, allowing it to melt slightly. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use room temperature ingredients for a smooth, pliable dough.
  • Allow proper rising times for superior fluffiness and flavor.
  • Roll tightly but gently to keep the swirl neat.
  • Apply frosting while the rolls are warm for best melting effect.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container to keep freshness and softness.
